I write music to emotion. Regardless of genre or medium I feel that music is a trait of humanity. To that end I feel that music should, no, MUST attempt to invoke and develop an emotional response.

I studied music at Northern Arizona University and quickly became infatuated with the art of composition. Including ear training, form and analysis, and music theory I spent over 4 years performing and writing my own music. Despite my classical training however, I never lost my appreciation for contemporary music. This became apparent as I began writing rock and electronic music alongside my instrumental and operatic works.

During my studies, I have performed in several operas including L'Eliser de amore, Cosi fan tutte, The Medium, Albert Herring, L'Incoronazione di Poppea and Gianni Schicci. My dedication to performance and composition has been rigorous, however as time has passed I developed a craft that was not just refined, but versatile. In 2012, I achieved my dual degrees: a Bachelor's of Music with a minor in Theater and a Bachelor's in Bio-Medicine with a minor in Chemistry.

INFO

My goal is to now take the craft I've been cultivating and reach as many people as possible. I spent much of my time researching, but more importantly, WRITING!!

I am always excited to further refine my composition method in styles I have attempted and am just as thrilled to broaden my method by attempting new styles I've never tried. Every new piece I attempt adds to the possibilties of my compositional method and allows me to further advance my unsterstanding of music as a whole. There is so much to create and experience in the world of music and we cannot possibly realize all of our options if we force ourselves to accept musical boundaries. If we can look beyond those boundaries that we impose on music, we can truly develop new art.

As I continue to write, attempting new and exciting works, I will continue to dedicate my efforts with a fealty towards the beautiful.
